Discus and support 5 Days of almost NOTHING in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; At first I thought it was Lizard Squad.     5 Days of almost NOTHING


    At first I thought it was Lizard Squad. Then I thought perhaps my settings were off, but I can hardly ever connect.

    We can hardly play any game because they all require the internet to update, download or save.

    Now I hear the XBOX founder "quit" yesterday to pursue other dreams. Yeah right. I think he's running from the corporate firing squad.

    The "Status" of XBOX is always the same with never any new info for us players. Please give us more info to keep me hooked or....

    The machine goes back to the store.

    In September 10 I requested a refund for a game, Resident Evil Remastered. A lady answered my request and told me it was done and that I should expect to see the change in about 5 days. Howeve it has been almost a month and still nothing, no refund, nothing
    in my order history,etc.

    Have you already tried powercycling after the servers were down? You can do this by holding down the powerbutton for 10 seconds and turning it back on.

    if that doesn't work can you please fill this in ?

  7. For your NAT type I want you to go on your Xbox One

    1. Press the Home button
    2. Press the Menu button (right of the home button) and select settings
    3. Select Network, your NAT type shows up in the middle of the screen
    4. To be sure select Test Multiplayer connection after it has completed hold down the trigger and bumpers on your controller, this will initiate more detailed statistics
    5. Your NAT type shows up on the right side
    As for the DHCP issue I'll help you with that after we get the NAT, one step at a time

    I Live in British Columbia, Canada.

    I have a CISCO DPC3825 Modem...Wireless

    I have one XBOX one Console

    Other thinks like tablets connect no problem. They are all powered off right now.

    I have tried numerous times to power off the modem and the XBOX, and re-power on again.

    I get some connectivity in the morning and some late at night. It took 3 days to download Titanfall updates.

    I have no idea if is is UPnP enabled. Should it be?

    Some of the time it says connectivity is good. I ALWAYS get 4 bars. Then it says something like DCHP is not working.

    SHAW is my Internet Service Provider.

    I suspect it is not my issue as I sometimes get connectivity?

    Thanks for ANY help. My kid is very disappointed and so am I.

    OK, I've got the NAT:OPEN

    Download speed 7.70

    Upload 0.48

    Packet loss 0%

    MTU 1480

    Wireless strength 59%

    Status Code 0x40002000043

    Latency 94ms

    Now oddly enough, we have connectivity right now, but like the past few days, it likely will not last.

  10. For the NAT type you'll have to check for my previous comment

    As for DHCP you'll have to go back to your network settings on your Xbox One first

    When in the network settings;

    1. Select Advanced Settings
      1. Write down your IP/subnetmask/Gateway and your primary and secondary DNS

    2. Select Ip settings and select Manual

      (from here you can assign your own Ip adress)
    3. I suggest Selecting a high enough number so the DHCP won't assign another device to it
    4. enter 192.168.0.*** for the *** you want a number in between 100 and 255 to be sure it doesn't get used by another device
      1. If your gateway is any different than 192.168.0.1 make sure to copy the first 3 sets of number (the 192.168.0) into the IP as the first 3 sets of number
    5. Enter the subnet mask which you wrote down earlier
    6. Enter the Gateway you wrote down earlier
    7. Now you have a static IP on your xbox and since the number is high enough you shouldn't worry about DHCP, if it still gives issues please say so

    As for the network issues of the past days, Xbox Live was having server issues. You can see the server status page right here

  12. Also on a side note, if you are only able to connect when other wireless devices are powered on I highly suggest the above instructions to set up a static IP, if you want to continue steps I can guide you through to setup your router so only your Xbox can
    use that IP so you can always connect without DHCP issues

    Also since you lose connection could you try a wired connection ? As wireless tends to be unreliable for gaming

    OK, FearedNightmare, I set up a static IP like you suggested. Guess I'll see if that improves things.

    As far as having a wired connection, the router is on a level above the Xbox One mancave, so that is not possible at this time. Any other suggestions like perhaps a wireless internet booster?

    Oh yeah, we have connection again....

    Hopefully it lasts.

    My son is finally enjoying some Assassins Creed downloaded.

    If anyone else is following this thread, and you want to change your Static IP, write down all of the Gateway numbers etc. as you'll have to re-enter them all.

    Will keep you posted how things are going.

  15. You could get a wired connection by using a device called a homeplug. Belkin do a very good one. Basically you plug one end into a wall socket and an ethernet cable goes to your router. Plug another one in anywhere in your house wiring circuit (another wall
    socket) and it delivers internet access to that other socket and then you plug this ethernet into your xbox. Clever eh?
