4l Samsung monitor is telling us it can’t support 4K?

I am trying to enable 4k on my 4k monitor but when i go into video modes, i cannot enable 4k, so i looked in 4k tv details and it says my tv does not support 4k? I went back into video modes, everything is disabled yet still i get message saying your tv
is telling us it does not support 4k?

i have looked at all xbox troubleshooting, tried a new cable, and original xbox one cable yet is still the same, nothing is in between my connection, looked through all my monitor settings, not a single option about hdmi, nothing absolutely nothing is working,
even tried YCC 4:2:2 still no luck same message appears when i select allow 50hz even though my monitor is 60hz even when i try allow 24hz same message again, both of my monitors hdmi ports is hdmi 2.0, overrides is on auto - detect but still nothing, I have
tried everything, but i have no idea what else i can do

my monitor is samsung LU28E590DS and i am using Xbox One S on the xbox insider preview updates, tried xbox one s on another tv and lets me use 4k and everything but i just dont understand why it wont let me do 4k, 50hz, or even 24hz on a 4k 60hz monitor please

have you tried the hdmi cable in port 2 on the back of the monitor apparently one hdmi port supports more that the other.

You have to use the HDMI 2 port as that’s the only port that supports 4k@60

freesync will not work with xbox though, that is only supported on the display port.

Just noticed the same thing in the manual. Appears HDMI 2 is the better specced port going by the timings table towards the back of the monitor manual.

If you are still having no joy getting 4k to work then you may want to get in touch with Samsung support.

But surely i would still be able to do 4k, disregarding the hz just, surely i would still be able to do4k on hdmi 1 though? Is there any way on xbox to limit the hz to 30 so that i could turn on 4k? I will try switching and will post update tomorrow, thank
