Xbox One and 4K output

well, to display 4k resolution and to play a 4k game is totally different ~~~~

i think XB1 will support 4k playback like 4k BD movie in the future, but 4k game??? i dont think so ....

 

Xbox One X won't play 4K from Sky Q through input and output HDMI Connection

The HDMI IN on the XBOX ONE / ONE S / ONE X are all just 1080P there is no 4K pass through on those consoles.

- Game developer has to make the game 4K

- 4K pass-through is a hardware feature that does not exist within the console. You'd be better

off running your 4k Sky Q into the TV directly. (the xbox is doing what it's designed to do)

 

No not unless it was a 8bit game, it can barely get 1080p

no console can manage 4k games but it can play 4k movies i just upgraded to a 4k tv it game with a 4k copy of spiderman played fine in xbox one

 

What would of been nice is if the player was capable of playing 4k bluray for when they come out.

Isn't your Spiderman movie just mastered from a 4K source and still only output at 1080p ?

Those blurays aren't 4K

I have a collection of 4K demos, but the console's media player doesn't support them.

Looking forward to true 4K output on the console

House of cards on Netflix is great as is Breaking Bad in 4K. )

 

It's a shame you have to use the TV's Netflix app for 4K.

Hopefully Microsoft will get their finger out soon. )

We just need a little more patience for more 4K content.

Samw eason why us men dont understand why women buy bags they dont need. My Mrs just spent £240 on a bag she doesnt need and will only use when we go out for dinner etc

 

It is not MS responsibility to have the Netflix app run in 4K, that would be all on Netflix. What is MS problem is getting the needed software to output in 4K and i am sure that will come sooner or later. Just have to wait for it to be the norm... I mean
not everyone even has a 1080P TV yet...

 

I can wait on the new XBox slim with full 4K video support and Kinect Lite built in for voice commands.

No great rush tohellnback. I can use my current TV 4K Netflix app for now.
