    4k xbox one x stutter


    Hello, I am having an issue playing Xbox one x games on my phillips 50PUS6703/12. On another 1080p TV the console is perfect,but when running on my 4k TV I experience stuttering in games,where it can
    almost freeze for 3-4 seconds then goes back to normal. Very frustrating and I am in the process of replacing console,but can I have some ideas for the TV?,things I've tried.

    *trying different HDMI cables

    *using game mode

    *turning off all enhancements

    *resetting Xbox one x

    *calibrate TV

    At the end of my wick here,really appreciate if someone can help me cheers. Wierdly the stutter can stop suddenly and it runs like a dream at 4k,but sadly this is rare

    Hi there,

    I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the hard drive since the data is simply a pass through with the high speed HDMI cables and nothing is really stored as memory on the hard drive when we're talking about 4K capabilities.

    Have you factory reset your Xbox yet? I believe this will be helpful narrowing down what the issue might be:

    Besides that have you checked under your Advanced video settings and made sure 4K and HDR are checked off?

    I have the xbox set to 8bit so i thought that would fix it...afraid i dont have any frame rate control....other people with fake 10 bit havent complained about it so im not sure

    Hi, I'm afraid it does look like the Tv is the problem, whilst it claims to use a 10 bit panel that is not strictly true, it's an 8 bit panel + FRC ( frame rate control ) which could well be the problem. I have a feeling the Tv is trying to control the frame
    rate and causing the stuttering you're seeing, is there any option in the Tv settings to manually adjust or disable frame rate control ?

    I took a look at the user manual, it's worth checking out this section in particular.

    HDMI Ultra HD  (Home) > Settings > All settings > General settings > Input sources > HDMI 2/3 > HDMI Ultra HD This TV can display Ultra HD signals. Some devices - connected with HDMI - do not recognise a TV with Ultra HD and might not work correctly or
    show distorted picture or sound. To avoid the malfunctioning of such a device, you can set the signal quality to a level the device can handle. If the device is not using Ultra HD signals, you can switch off Ultra HD for this HDMI connection. • The setting
