4K video capture on Xbox one X fails

Hello!

I have a problem with capturing video in 4k. It doesn’t matter if I use “Record from the moment” or “Record last 15 or 30 seconds”. I’ve to say that it worked well for a year, and now I think after Xbox update on 1st of May its ruined. When I press
recording buttons there is a notification “Clip is being prepared” and clip never appears. I’ve been waiting too long. It happens with every game. Xbox works in 4K with 4K tv. Recording settings are set to 4K HDR and 30 seconds. There are about 250+ gb of
free space on HDD.

With 1080p everything works great. Problem is only with 4K. It seems Xbox can’t prepare the final clip.

I’ve already had a chat with support and have done wiping cash, and reset without deleting content. Please help!

Everything was fine even a week ago. Sorry for my bad English, I’m not a native speaker.

Same issue 22 second clip recorded. plays about half a second then stops.

1080 works fine

Come on Microsoft, lets have some answers.

Yea this is pretty nuts. Xbox One X and 4k capture just stops working?? Was and had been working as it should until the beginning of May because a quick trace led me back to my last "working 4k clip." After was just as described here, with the remainder
of clips taken, reading .22 seconds for some stupid reason (set at 30sec as we now for 4k). Plays a second, then stops while the clips time stamp keeps spinning around the play button. How dumb......I have to believe this is Corona related. like how the
servers have been horrendous as well. Hard reset.... factory reset, and 4k recalibration with my TV. Still nothing. Its obviously not the xbox if this issue is happening to others. I refuse to believe the 4k capture just **** the bed, as a design flaw, while
i can watch and game in 4k, and then take 1080 captures? That makes no sense! Something happened here......send help Microsoft......

Just wanted to weigh in here that I'm seeing the exact same problem as of May 5th 2020. Trying to record 4k DVR clips has been resulting in either "Preparing your clip" and the clip not showing up anywhere, or clips showing as 22 seconds long, but
effectively a single second of a clip. I can also confirm that changing the capture to 1080p does seem to fix the issue, but ideally I could continue capturing at 4k60fps. I've tried a hard reset, full power cycle unplugging the xbox, just about everything
I can think about within the capture settings. Nothing seems to be resolving the issue so I'm stuck at 1080p capturing for the time being.

I have the exact same issue, down to the 22 second capture and everything. Well detailed, thanks. Looking forward to a solution.
