4K updates need to be easier to see

Discus and support 4K updates need to be easier to see in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; i know about the trick with rb +lb when hovering over the game but out of about 15 enhanced games i have only 6 say xbox Scorpio updates are installed....     4K updates need to be easier to see


    i know about the trick with rb +lb when hovering over the game but out of about 15 enhanced games i have only 6 say xbox Scorpio updates are installed. The rest dont say anything about any assets so how do you know if its installed or not.

    Are there any plans to make Xbox One compatible with 4k discs and games?

    Hi

    The Xbox One can't play 4K Blu ray discs at a hardware level and a firmware update will not be able to add this feature to the console. You will need to purchase an Xbox One S to be able to play 4K discs.

    UHD set up?

    It was made clear that the XBOX could support 4k but not that it does at the moment. Most games are not even on 1080p yet but rather on 900p. Blue Rays are remastered for 4k but are not true 4k yet with a few exceptions. I am sure in the following month
    there will be a 4k update because youtube, netflix and a some other streaming sides are streaming 4k material.

    For a game to be made in true 4k it would need about 120 to 150 GB. 3 games and your harddrive would be packed.

    I also posted the HDMI issue a little earlier. 1.4 supports only 20/30 Hz but 2.0 50/60 Hz.

    The truth is it will be along way for console players to see true 4k games on a console but todays consoles will be supportung video material in 4k pretty soon.

    May Samsung UHD does a great job upscaling the xbox one picture anyways and I am already very happy the way it looks now.

    Not all the games show Scorpio assets installed, some display X1XE true as they are enhanced. If they are showing in the enhanced list, they normally have had some form of One X update.

    XBox One S supports 4k, but Netflix/Amazon doesn't recognize, Plex/MediaPlayer just a green screen with audio

    I chatted with Amazon. As it turns out you can stream any UHD titles you *own* through them already. You cannot browse a list to buy 4k, see a category for 4k or use it for Prime 4k titles. But it does stream the few titles I already owned in 4k. This is
    due to the app being extremely old and needing to be updated. Netflix works fine for 4k. I assume YouTube needs to be updated for 4k.

    As long as on the subject, why doesn't MS Movies and TV Store on the One S offer any 4k titles? Has anybody heard of any plans that way?

    Is XBOX getting too ambitious?

    To be fair, 5 years ago 4K TV's and monitors were also that expensive. Having a console be 8K ready is better as it means there is no need for updates or whatever. Once 8K tvs and monitors become cheaper, it will be more viable. It gives developers the
    tools to make games 8K once it gets popular and have the things in place to update other games to 8K easier. It's good to make consoles future proof.

    If you want to see a 4K Movies (streaming/disc) you will need to have a 4K TV. (With Xbox One S and X)

    Also if you want to play a game on 4K the game need to be 4K compatible and a 4K TV (only with Xbox One X)

    Yeah the game will recive an update with 4K and you need only config too in the xbox config that you want the 4K resolution
