4k UHD not working

Issue:

I've updated both the Xbox One S and my Netflix app yet when I try and select 4k content, like "Stranger Things" for example, it only says the HD version is available (HD icon next to "Stranger Things").

When I play the Netflix app via my LG TV, instead of the Xbox, I see the Ultra HD icon next to "Stranger Things" and other titles that are viewable in Ultra HD.

So why can I stream 4k when playing Netflix off the LG TV Netflix app but can't stream 4k when playing Netflix off the Xbox?

My setup:

- Xbox One S is hooked up to Onkyo HT-S7800 5.1.2 Channel Dolby Atmos receiver which is hooked up to my LG OLED55E6P TV.

4K Passthrough?

1.4 not but 1.4b can do 4k/24fps and UHD/30fps. 4k is not interesting... we all have UHD!! 4k is in cinemas and 17:9.

I really hope the pass thru will work for 4k/UHD!!

 

Black Panther 4K unplayable

I’m same, 4K UHD black panther won’t working in my Xbox X!!!

 

UPDATE:

I've determined that if I hook the Xbox directly to the TV, the 4K from Netflix kicks in! So I'm assuming the issue has something to do with my receiver...

 

Same issue here...I meet all requirements for 4k via Netflix on my Xbox One X. Still no 4k. I am running through a Denon 4k receiver, but haven't tried going direct.

 

I have same issue on Xbox one X. Spent 1 hour on a call with Netflix and they say all the prerequisites are there for it to work. Right account type and great connection speed. They say it’s good at their end. Microsoft couldn’t help either. They said

I am connected through an onkyo receiver. There is no upscaling activated anywhere and resolution coming out of tv is 3840 x 2160 but I still don’t get 4k options on Netflix it’s hd option only
