    4k uhd disk and Dolby Vision output


    So looking round the various forums and having my panasonic 4k player blow up.. i settled on the xbox one s for my 4k player with the bonus of being able to play the odd game...

    So imagine my surprise after trouble shooting my new tv and amp combination for days and days , buying newer HDMI cables etc... for not displaying Dolby Vision from the 4k disks i had bought to find out its the xbox not outputting a Dolby Vision signal
    from disk!!!! All the media shpiel saying the xbox can now do Dolby Vision ........but they failed to mention it was only through the Netflix app! Why wouldnt you allow it from disk microsoft???

    Anyone have any more info about updates putting this right?

    Dolby Vision - Blu-ray player app

    Of course the Blu-Ray disks I'm using are UHD and have Dolby Vision.

    Dolby Vision is enabled on Xbox One X settings, TV HDMI ports are in Enhanced mode (4:4:4 4K/UHD HDR 60Hz), and the TV test (that can be found inside Xbox menu) returns all green ticks for my Xbox-to-TV connection.

    As said, Dolby Vision works with all streaming apps... but not when playing Blu-Ray UHD Dolby Vision disks.

    Ye my xbox scorpio is the same . It only works through netflix if your paying for the 4k sub 👍

    Dolby vision is not working with UHD Blue-ray either.
    No, this is merely about 4K-content not playing, no matter if there's Dolby Vision or not. Any ideas?
