    4k UHD Bluray video freezing/black


    3 out of the 4 blurays we purchased (Mad Max: Fury Road, Logan, John Wick) has trouble playing on the Xbox One X. The video freezes in the first few frames of the video, but the sound continues playing. We've turned off the 24hz playback like other support
    tickets have said and still no dice. One movie (Ex Machina) did work no problem. Netflix in 4k and HDR works like a charm. Mass Effect: Andromeda with HDR plays great, as does Halo 5: Guardians with 4k60fps. We've changed the HDMI cable, even though we were
    using the one provided in the box, and it didn't change anything. This is feeling like an Xbox software issue and it needs to be fixed soon, or you should stop marketing this as a 4k UHD bluray player, because it can only do that 25% of the time.

    We are using a LG OLED55B7A television purchased within the past month and updated to its latest firmware.

    UHD Bluray won't play in 4K on 4K non HDR TV

    So I have a Samsung 4K non HDR TV, and my xbox one s will show up in 4K when I am on the dashboard, but when I install a 4K HDR bluray disk it only displays in 1080p. Any reason for this? Do the UHD bluray disks not play in just 4K if its also not HDR?

    UPDATE: There was a Bluray Player app update that fixed out issues. We are now able to watch all 4 of the 4K UHD Blu Rays that we purchased recently. Thanks, Microsoft! I know you weren't patching it for us specifically and, by the looks of it, didn't even
    see our post, but thanks for taking care of this. Excited to not have to return it, now.

    UPDATE: There was a Bluray Player app update that fixed out issues. We are now able to watch all 4 of the 4K UHD Blu Rays that we purchased recently. Thanks, Microsoft! I know you weren't patching it for us specifically and, by the looks of it, didn't even

    4k UHD Blu Ray Disc Not Working on Xbox One X

    In the same situation as this, guy. We bought xbox one x, same LG B7 tv, and four 4k UHD blu rays two days ago. Only 1 of the blurays works and the other 3 freeze their video after 1 second, but the sound keeps playing.

    Well two things first xbox one s is NOT a 4k console

    Second it's only when you play UHD movies or streaming UHD content that you get 4k from an xbox one s

    Projectors aren't the greatest for 4k compatibility it's more for.computers and blurays then consoles which are more stricter to vesa

    Will there be support for HDR10+ on the Xbox Series X/S?

    Because no media supports it yet.
    Media supporting HDR10+ as of now are amazon prime video and 4K UHD Bluray. A complete list of released discs can be found here: https://hd-report.com/list-of-4k-blu-ray-discs-with-hdr10/

    Games could also strongly benefit from supporting dynamic HDR metadata!
