4K Tvs, gaming ..

I could easily afford a 4k TV but i'm a tight git and get the most out of what i already have which is a 50 inch LG plasma i bought last year... I wont be upgrading any time soon.

Yeah like I said previously, we could all go out tomorrow an get a 4k TV if we wanted. I spent 5k on a SONY Plasma TV many many years ago that wasnt even HD lol. I also spent £299 on a Sky+HD box the day they were released. Turns out they were made by Thompson
and totally unreliable.

Most of us here are around 30's some much older but we all have one thing in common, we've realised being the 1st in the street with the new TV tech is pointless.

 

I think im going to wait a few years before I get 4K. Same with 3DTV's hardly anything supports them. Also if they brake easy like hdtv's did when they first came out its going to cost a fortune.

I'm hoping we start to see more strategy games on consoles but not holding my breath.

As for the TVs, I personally steer clear of Sony's from a bad experience in the past, Samsung for me

Ohh thanks dude. Not something I really have been into before and I missed out on Halo Wars 1 if number 2 is what they are reviving. There is just too much going on in those games for me to keep up but I would give them another shot if the price was right
and there was some more appeal.

 

I was rather good at Halo Wars, Brilliant game.

 

Not 100% it is Halo Wars, it mentions Age of Empires aswell.

Halo War was class though, I'd be happy with part 2.

 

It didn't sing to me like other games do. I think I just have too much of a bad experience with the genre and maybe I am boing over judgemental. I just have memories of dying a lot or losing a lot lol.

 

Age of empires would be even better...

 

I agree, Age of Empires would be very nice, well I'd take it over the other titles mentioned.

I did have AoE on my laptop but never got round to playing it.

I just went through the link that R1CH provided and man it makes for an amazing read. Then I saw

THIS and figured I would wait a few years lol. Course by the time I can buy one, they will probably be more supported for games so theres a winner there.
