    Hi Guys,

Does anyone use a 4K tv for their xbox. If so what are your thoughts re image quality (does it make games look better) and input lag.

Im thinking of getting one, but unsure which is best. Ill either be getting a Slim or a Scorpio and would love to know what 4K tvs people are using or getting when the new consoles are out.

    Many thanks,

    :)

  2. Xbox One X 4K pass thru?

When you say 4K pass through, are you talking about a 4K source sending the TV signal to the Xbox and then to the TV? Or sending the Xbox1 X 4K signal to pass through a 4K receiver and then to the 4K TV?

  3. Xbo one S and xbox one X

The XBOX ONE S is 4K, you have to have a 4K TV in order to get 4K content. Then your 4K TV has to be directly in the XBOX (TV IN ) HDMI slot. Once you connect this your XBOX will automatically download the Blu Ray 4K app

  6. You can also go 4k monitor too, (I use a 1080p one currently but waiting on Black Friday amazon sales to see about a 4k in preparation for scorpio)

    Something like this
    www.amazon.co.uk/.../ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl
Is a great choice. Good price, Samsung are a decent company and that 1MS GTG input lag 4k TV :)

Same with https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00JEZTC3I/ref=psdc_428652031_t3_B00WUACE4S. Asus are very good gaming monitors and a similar spec.

The only thing currently to watch for (both monitor and TV) is HDR. It was only standardised this year so earlyier, potentially cheaper sets, may not have full high dynamic range (going forward all TV sets "should be read" from 2016). However this is a good
read as Sony and Samsung are doing it a bit different.

HDR is the next big format war, and the TV brand you buy could make all the difference

    Hope that heps

Does 4K on xbox one x work on all games?

4K is about the resolution that is capable, not the power of a system. A 4K tv means its capable and will support 4K resolution. It all depends on if a game is made and supports 4K if it will display in 4K on a 4K tv.

My Xbox one X will no longer allow me to record in 4k or 4k HDR

My tv is a 55" OLED 4k HDR tv (I did say in the past it has recorded in 4k and that the tv is running in 4k HDR)

    Best Xbox X gaming monitor?

I have a insignia 4k TV and it automatically recognized that it was 4k and set the TV to 4k when I turn the console on.
