4k TV for the xbox one?

Hi everyone im looking to buy an new TV and I really want a 4k TV. I just need some advice because i have had a bad experience with playing fifa on an smart tv. when you start a match and you kick off the frame rate staggers and then stops until the ball
goes out for a corner, goal kick or even a freekick. I dont want to commit in buying a decent tv if this happens. I have standard HD 32inch LG tv and have no issues regarding the frame rate but i really want an 4k. I am only looking to spend under £550

    So any suggestions??

    :)

The XBOX ONE S is 4K, you have to have a 4K TV in order to get 4K content. Then your 4K TV has to be directly in the XBOX (TV IN ) HDMI slot. Once you connect this your XBOX will automatically download the Blu Ray 4K app

    4K issue with my TV

    Hello,

    I have a problem with 4K settings for a TV : TCL U49S7606DS.

After setting TV connection in autodiscover mode, in TV 4K details my TV is compliant with 4K UHD 60 Hz at least for video game green tick (red one for HDR).

But in game (Assassin's Creed Origins) images are blurred. I guess the problem is due to the image refreshing because in the product specification for the TV,

the max HDMI resolution is 2160P/30Hz and on the xbox website (https://support.xbox.com/fr-FR/xbox-one/console/4k-on-xbox-one-technical-requirements) required
    configurations are : 4K at 60 Hz

My question : how the console knows if the TV is 4K compliant ? because according to the xbox i should be able to play in 4K !

    Thanks for answerring me.

4k TV for the xbox one?

Little to no point in getting a 4K TV unless you have a source that delivers 4K, at the moment it would be better to go for a really good 1080p TV than a cheap 4K TV that you possibly may not use to its fullest for three or four years (until SKY/Virgin etc
    offer 4K TV)

If you do decide to go for a 4K, go for a Samsung. I've had most makes of TV and my current Samsung is the best I've had to date, just saying.

Forgot to say in my previous post, whatever TV you decide to go for, make sure you have a play with it in the shop (currys, comet etc) make sure it has a "Game" mode in the settings (most TV's these days do) This means that the TV will display the signal
with as little lag as possible, which is obviously important.

The last time I bought my TV, the shop was that desperate for a sale they let me plug in an Xbox One and actually play about with it, they will virtually do anything for a sale. Plus at the end of the day, you don't have to buy it from there, you can look
for a better price on the internet and then see if they will match it (some will).

Hi dude thanks for your feedback. Im only choosing to get a 4k tv just because the quality is nice but a smart tv can be very handy. but what i experienced with fifa on a smart tv i was a bit unsure what tv i want. I am going to take my xbox round my nans
and test fifa on hers because she has a 50inch sony 4k tv and it looks lush but i dont want to commit into buying something if fifa has an issue with an high quality picture.

  7. A 4K TV would only be useful if you intend to watch 4K Content on it. Some on-line video streams are 4K, which will make full use of your TV's capabilities. The issue you had before was little to do with the fact the TV you were using was a 'Smart' TV.

The issue you had was likely caused by many of the extra post processing features many modern TVs have these days. They are designed to enhance the viewing experience when watching movies. You don't see any lag when using them to watch TV and films because
you're not interacting with them, so there is no noticeable delay.

For gaming you'll need to disable these features for the best experience, no matter what TV you purchase. Rather than turn them off individually, there should be either be a 'Game Mode' or a 'PC Mode' on most HD and UHD TV's.

4k TV for the xbox one?

You'll have to get a bigger TV if you want 4K. As far as I'm aware no manufacturer makes a 32" 4K, unless you go for a monitor.

I'd personally go for Sony if you go for ANY TV. I'd also stay with 1080p for now. Paying that extra money for 4K just isn't worth it, in my opinion.

TV is capable of 4k 60hz same time but in display setting only showing 4k no hz

Error when selecting the 4K UHD resolution on Xbox One X and Xbox One S

You receive the following error message when you choose 4K UHD in display settings:

    That didn't work

4K is supported by your TV, but not at 60Hz. You won't be able to upscale to 4K, but, depending on your TV, you may still be able to play some 4K and HDR content. To see what your TV supports, choose 4K TV details.

This error occurs when the console detects that your TV supports 4K, but doesn't support a 60 Hz refresh rate. You may still be able to play 4K content at other refresh rates, but you won't be able to upscale the system, games, and apps to 4K.

    Solution

To determine what your TV is telling the console about its 4K capabilities, see

Checking your TV's 4K and HDR capabilities on Xbox One X and Xbox One S
. Use the 4K TV details screen to see what changes as you try different things:

    • Make sure your HDMI cable is plugged into the correct port on your TV. Some 4K TVs only support their full set of 4K features on specific HDMI ports. See your TV manual to determine if there are special 4K HDMI ports, or try different ports on your TV.
    • Check your TV's settings menu. Your TV might have a special mode that controls your TV's refresh rates. See your TV manual to determine if you need to change your TV's settings.
    • Make sure you're using the HDMI cable that was included with the Xbox One X and Xbox One S.
    • Try a different HDMI cable. Your cables must be HDMI High Speed or HDMI Premium certified.
    • Plug your TV straight into your console with the HDMI cable that was included with the Xbox One X and Xbox One S. Some AV receivers or other video equipment may not correctly pass the signal to your TV or console. Also, you'll need to use HDMI High Speed
or HDMI Premium certified cables between both the console and receiver, and the receiver and TV.
Unfortunately, some TVs don't support 4K at 60Hz. See your TV manual to make sure.

    I agree with Phoenix_Reins

The Xbox one and above can work with any TV that has HDMI input.

To View content that is 4K enabled in 4K such as videos and games you do need to have a 4K capable TV.

You can sill plate the 4K content and 4K enabled games on a non 4K TV it will just not be at 4K bu still look incredibly good based on your TV capabilities.

    Hi Lucas,

As the others have mentioned you do not need to have a 4K TV to play on the xbox.

If you have an Xbox One original, Xbox One S or Xbox One X and only have an HD ready TV that supports 1080p, then your xbox will play in that resolution accordingly.

If you have an Xbox One X, and a 4K TV, then your resolution will be in 4K.

Some 4k TV's have a feature called HDR, this is an added feature that is also available on the Xbox one X, and improves the colour quality of your videos and games.
