4k stream explorer app

Why does the explorer app not let me stream in 4k? I can play games in 4k. When i stream in 4k it glitches.

Netflix 4K Streaming

Trust me when I tell you that my xbox has plenty of bandwidth for 4k streaming. Netflix will not stream 4k in the app unless the movie is actually marked for 4K. The app only displays HD as the option, not 4K like it does on any other device that I have
that supports 4k streaming. I do notice the difference when streaming Breaking Bad (which is a 4k serious on Netflix) on my xbox one via Netflix vs streaming it from the Netflix app on my smart 4k tv. The 4k TV smart app shows the correct 4k option on the
show and the picture quality is wayyy better then on the xbox Netflix app.

Steaming through 4k Laptop instead of 4k TV for Xbox One X. Same result?

Ye you'd be pretty much destroying any benefit you get from it being 4K as I doubt the streaming app would stream at native 4k, more like 1080p

Out of curiosity, are you streaming this on the movies and tv app? Also are you attempting to stream in 4k?

I'm an old Top Gear fan from way back. Started streaming the shows on my Xbox 360. The Grand Tour is great

but, I have only streamed it on my PC. So, I have to ask: When you say Amazon and Netflix, you are referring to the Amazon and Netflix Apps running
on your Xbox? And, do I understand correctly, you are not having problems with 4K streaming via the Netflix App? Then the question is, is it only The Grand Tour that streams at 1080p using the Amazon App? The Amazon App may be able to support 4K streaming,
but is it 4K content that is getting to the Xbox...?
