    Hello, i seem to be having a problem with blu rays not being upscaled to 4k since the new blu ray app update, all other areas still upscale (netflix,vudu, amazon, etc.). I also just picked up the 4k of Obliviion and it won't even play. There seem to be
    a number of people having this problem with this particular 4k(oblivion), all of my other 4k movies work fine so i am wondering if it is a read issue with this particular disk. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

    I bought Oblivion on 4K a few weeks ago too cause it's one of my most favorite movies ever, and I just tried it after seeing your thread and it indeed does NOT work.

    I love everything about the Xbox S except for the 4k blue ray player. I bought 2 4k UHD disks, The Revenant and Star Trek Into Darkness. The Revenant had major audio sync problems which just come and go. Star Trek Into Darkness would not even load. Returned
    it and the second one would not load. At that point I started searching the Internet and found that many are having issues with the 4k blue ray player. Here is a thread at AVS detailing many of the issues. www.avsforum.com/.../2481633-xbox-one-s-uhd-blu-ray-player-aug-2016-a.html

    Hopefully Microsoft will be able to fix this quickly.

    Do I need a 4K cable TV to use the Xbox One s system

    The Xbox One requires at least a 720p HDTV or monitor for display.

    Basically, if the TV has an HDMI port, your Xbox One S
    should work just fine on it.

    For me, I'm running my Xbox One S on a standard 1080p TV without a problem.

    All the talk about 4K is just an extra feature that the Xbox One S supports; if you have a 4K HDTV, the Xbox One S will be able to upscale the content to 4K resolution. It's not necessarily required to have
    4K, but it sure would be nice.
