4k movies made by universal won't play in 1s

? 4 the software tech @ Microsoft xbox 1s & x why haven't this simplistic problem not solve? Users have been providing the information the names of movies that will not be read your problem comes from universal ultra 4k won't play. It's a simple update
if the disk is unable to read the encryption, then your software needs 2 b update it's not rocket science. This problems have been persistently going on there r utube videos about this same unsolved problem.

Disc does not play

I bought Skyscraper 4k ultra HD this will not play in my xbox 1s, I took it back to best buy they replace it. The disk will not play i called up microsoft support for x box, spoke with tech, there is nothing they can do because of the copy protection on
the disk causing the x box not to read the disk. This is a legal bought disk . Who would i speak with about this,microsoft technician can't help, the other 4k movies from paramount and wonder brother worked do i just don't buy any movies 4k that is made by
universal or is there some fix for this? thanks

 

How to make Xbox 1s to resume DVD play from where I left off?

When playing a DVD movie on my Xbox 1s and stopping the movie and shutting off the Xbox 1s before the end of the movie how do I get the Xbox 1s to resume play from where I left off? I went to settings and checked the resume play function however it does
not work.

 

If this is a problem with the disc not being decrypted properly, that is something xbox must solve. Please tell us the names of the movies that don't work.

Also, try the following things to see if you can resolve this issue since you said youtube videos have this same issue - and they should not:

1. Power Cycling. Turn off your console and unplug for 30 seconds.
   
2. Uninstall/reinstall Blu Ray App.
3. Turning off HDR support in display settings.
4. Turning off BD Live support in blu ray settings.
5. Clearing the persistent storage in blu ray settings.

 

Do you get an error when you try playing the movies from the 4k disc? An error code or message will be helpful.

Also, make sure your Blu-Ray app on Xbox is up to date.

 

Yes I did get the error. These useless empty heads saying power cycle clearing storage unplug unit is simply pointless it doesn't work a waste of time update the software an we will be OK. We need more people trending about this so they will fix
this problem.

We suggest a reset of the console since the problem might be on the actual OS of the console so we would suggest a
Soft Factory Reset
(while keeping games and apps) IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

• There is a stable network connection.
• The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)

Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup lets do manual setup. Give it a shot and let us know of any changes!

 

Just update the encryption on your software to decode the encryption for the problematic disks. I am a engineer please stop with useless nonsense of power cycling and clearing storages this make no sense. This is not rocket science u have the name of
the movies and the manufacturer of these disc. Use that info an resolve the problem. Maybe I need to manage that department, if that's the solution u guy's are recommending to end users. I am a billion time's sure I can provide more educated solutions to
end users.
