    Possible problem:
    Xbox probably does not include the possibility of 4K HDCP 1.4 devices in its OS. (according to the iiyama technical support)

    What I tried so far:
    Different cables but I switch back to the one that came with the console.

    All ports on the display because why not even only HDMI 1 is labeled as 4K@60Hz.

    Different devices on the same port (Laptop, Xbox One S, PC) and they all worked fine in 4K@60Hz. Console reset. Current branch of the OS. Alpha branch of the OS.

    Additional informations:
    The Series X is 5 days old. Netflix and Prime Video work flawless in 4K@60Hz on Xbox One S.

    Updates:
    I don't even get 4K support displayed at all after repluggingthe HDMI cable (the same) to see if that helps. Doing a reset on the console gives me at least 4K@24Hz support which is really odd.

    Official Xbox chat support did tell me that I need HDMI 2.1 and 120Hz for 4K support which is not true since the console supports 4K 60Hz and even states that on the 4K-Details page.

    Official Xbox call center support wants me to replace the console.

    Xbox one S gaming monitor compatibility

    Most modern Monitors will work fine on the Xbox One S. Be aware though that while the One S supports 4K, it doesn't play games in 4K. Games on the One S are in 1080P (or lower and then upscaled).

    Are you planning on upgrading to a Series X? If so, you should look at these.

    Xbox one s poor graphics

    The Xbox One S wasn't made for 4k gaming. It was made more for 1080p gaming so that is why the graphics look worse on 4k rather than 1080p. Once you upgrade to a 4k designed console like the One X or Series X, then it would look better since, as I said,
    they're designed for 4k gaming.

    Dying Light 2 only 30 fps on Series S... What a disgrace!

    I wouldn't consider anything that does not offer 4k @ 60fps (Or 4k ((Upscaled) @ 120fps) to even be next/current-gen. We've been living in a 30fps world for far too long. Upgrades we're promised and while many games aren't optimized perfectly (and, lets be honest "Series X/S Optimized" really just means "we upgraded it for the Series X capabilities and just assumed it would be fine on the Series S") better performance should be expected.
