    If i run my 4k cable box through my Xbox one day one edition to my 4k tv will I lose resolution through my Xbox One while watching Cable TV?

    Hi Ringers,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. Unfortunately, the original Xbox one is not set up for 4K. You will get the highest resolution that the Xbox puts out which is 1080p and will not upscale to 4K. If you want 4K from the cable box best to run it straight to
    the TV.

    Hi,

    You will get 1080p with the Xbox one day one as the HDMI out is 1080p.

    To get your 4k, you need an Xbox one x.
