4K enhanced content not downloading

I'm switching from Xbox One to Xbox One X in a week so i wanted to get ahead and download the 4K content so once i get the X, i will be ready to go. I did tick the box to download 4K content, i did tick the box to keep my games up to date, i freed up over
400gb of space on my external drive 3 days ago. As far as i looked, nothing has been downloaded on any of my enhanced supported games. Am i doing something wrong or those 4K contents are included in developers patches?

I've been researching about that for 2 days without success so i hope you guys can help me with that as i'm going insane, going through google/youtube/forums/reddit trying to solve the problem.

This does not help. The "Download 4K game content" option only appears on non-4K Xbox's. This option is not available on the Xbox One X. In "theory," 4K content is downloaded to the Xbox One X by default. This in NOT the case
for my Xbox One X, however, as it does not download the 4K content for Quantum Break. All of my other 4K enhanced games work without a problem. Quantum Break is the only title that I have that refuses to grant me access to Xbox Enhanced content.

As mickey said, there's an option on the One and One S to preload 4K game content for then transfer to the X. Bit it doesnt seems to work on my end. I dont feel like downloading 200gb+ of content once i have the X. It will take days

I know when i did mine it was about 150GB's of download for that day.

Because you cant predownload 4k content

The way enchnced games work is they detect your console and then download the nessary patches

What you probably clicked was the 4k bluray options

Which only works on s and higher which is mot related to xbox x enchnaced games

You get them when it detects and only with xbox ehnaced enabled games

And no you cant predownload the patches

You will just have to wait for the console

It doesn't 'do' anything until there are updates and you're on your new console.
