4K Capabilities No Longer Working on Xbox One S?

OK, guys, I've got one for you:

A few weeks back, I posted this thread because most of my TV's 4K capabilities weren't being recognized by the Xbox One S when connected via my 4K receiver:

    http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_support/xbox_one_support/f/4269/t/2195158.aspx

Thanks to the helpful tip by Nillaz, I was able to change the simple setting in my receiver so that on the Xbox's 4K Details screen, EVERYTHING had a green check next to it. Boom, problem solved.

Fast forward to today, and I noticed that all of a sudden, everything still has a green check except the last option, which is for HDR gaming ("Your TV doesn't support HDR10 for gaming. Games won't be shown in HDR.")

This is strange because I have not changed any settings or other hardware/cables on my TV, receiver, or Xbox since I followed Nillaz's advice and got everything working. Why did this option, and this option only, suddenly stop working?

I have two possible theories (one of which I will test shortly):

    1. I am in the Xbox Preview Program, so this could be a "bug" in one of the latest preview updates. I plan on resetting my Xbox later tonight to revert to the latest public version of the OS to see if this functionality returns or not.
    2. There was a recent firmware update for my TV, and it may have... disabled(?) the HDR10 functionality? I highly doubt this, as HDR10 (or UHD Color, as Samsung calls it) is one of the main selling points of the TV. However, I have noticed that when I connect
the Xbox directly to the TV, I still get the same results (can't display HDR10 for gaming).
Has anyone noticed anything similar to what I'm talking about above? Any advice?

Here is my setup for reference:

    TV: Samsung KS9000

    AV Receiver: Yamaha Aventage RX-A3050

HDMI Cables: All the latest standard

I'll update this thread later tonight after I've reset my Xbox to see if it is indeed related to a preview version of the Xbox software or not. Hopefully that'll fix it and this problem will have resolved itself.

In the meantime, please feel free to chime in with any thoughts.

    Thanks!

    :)

  2. Xbox One X Display Settings related to potential bandwidth limitations.

There's no official support documentation specifically about the Xbox One X yet.

However, I'd imagine it will at least have the same support for 4K+HDR carried over from the Xbox One S, the specifications and troubleshooting of which can be found below.

    Xbox One S Question

While the Xbox One S is 4k capable, it's "backwards compatible" to FullHD or HD ready TVs that don't have 4k.

Your Xbox One S will work perfectly fine on your current TV, if the Xbox One worked on it.
