4K Blurays stopped working on Xbox Series X, how can I fix it?

Thank you for the fast answer, I tried it, I cleared the cache and i reseted the console but the problem is still the same. The Xbox doesn't read the 4K Blurays. Is it possible to fix the problem my self or does the console need repairing?

Hello again, it could be, however try to do a hard reset on the console, a factory reset to make sure it's not something with the system.

I'm having the same issue, but only with newer 4K discs. Blu-ray still read fine, along with older 4k movies. John Wick 4 and the Highlander 30th 4k both fail to start. Deadpool 1 & 2 play.

I think there is some kind of limitation with the drive the X uses.

Hello Sem, I don't know if you've tried any procedure on your console, if you haven't tried it, follow the procedures below.

The first is a clear cache

1. Go to the Xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off

2. Wait 10 seconds until it turns off

3. Wait 1 minute with it off

4. Turn it back on

Xbox One reset keeping Games:

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

Select Reset console.

Restore and maintain my games and apps.

Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

Note: You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

I do know about the gaming part. I was asking the question if the Xbox Series X could have the Dolby Vision added into the BluRay app so, that 4K BluRay movies can enjoy Dolby Vision as well.
