4K Blu Rays no longer playing after initially working

So, I set up my xbox one s on wednesday, August 3rd. The next day, I picked upo my LG Oled 65 inch that is listed as being compatible for 4k and HDR. All 4 ports on the LG are compliant with the latest hdmi standard and good for 4k and HDR.

So that afternoon I watched Batman vs Superman, the 4k UHD disc and had no issue. So on Sunday, I went to watch a different 4k blu ray and it wouldn't play the disk. It would play the other 5 4k uhd discs I placed in it. I looked and my tv had not updated
since I furst set it up, but my xbox one S apparently had some type of update on August 6, 2016. All I know is my 4k blu rays were playing and now they are not.

Microsoft: are there any updates on the question of specific 4K Blu-rays not working 0x91d70001 problem? I have a Deadpool disc not playing

The update *** everything up, my 4K of oblivion I just bought doesn't work and my blu Rays no longer upscale to 4K. Sure glad I spent 400 on this piece of crap machine.

 

A lot of people are complaining about this... but MS doesn't seem to want to acknowledge it. It seems that the minor update that occurred on the 5th messed up the 4k Blu-ray functionality of the XB1 S.

I've also noticed that normal Blu-rays no longer upscale to 4k either, they stay at 1080p.

Everyone needs to speak up about this and complain because nothing is getting done about it. I've been in contact with @XboxSupport on Twitter... I urge you do the same.

 

Still have this issue. I just keep checking every day to see if they have released an update to fix this. Seems like a few others have this problem, but thus far no solution in sight.

 

Are you sure the problem is isnt that 1 disc being all the other ones play?

 

Nope, it isn't just one disc. It is 6 different 4k blu ray disks from different studios. So none of the 4k disks work after that August 6 update. Whereas they worked prior to that.

 

rkkeller. I see what happened, i mis-typed and suggested that the other disks worked, which was not the case.
