    4k Blu Ray issues.


    I just bought the 4k version of Man of Steel but my Xbox One S tells me that I have to disable the audio that'll decode it in Dolby Atmos. My setup is Xbox One S 65" Samsung 4k tv and Samsung HW-K950 sound bar system that supports Dolby Atmos.

    BLU-RAY PLAYER FAILING TO LAUNCH

    I should add that I have tried the same DVDs in my Xbox 360 and they play without any issues. The Blu Ray discs are not 4K they are standard Blu Ray.

    4k Blu Ray issues.

    Hey there, Tempered!

    I'm sorry to see any issues with Dolby Atmos through your console! If you haven't already, you may want to either turn on or turn off the option for bitstream passthrough in the Blu-ray settings. You can do this by going to System > All settings
    > Disc & Blu-ray > Blu-ray > Let my receiver decode audio    . If it's checked, uncheck it, power cycle by holding the power button on your console for 8-10 seconds, then try the disc again. If it's unchecked, check it and then do the power cycle.

    Let me know how this goes for you! If you're still having issues, please post back with an image of the error so we can see exactly what might be going on. 4k Blu Ray issues. :)

    I'm having the same issue and I tried the above "fix" to no avail. After getting the message, the Blu-ray player loads the 4k Blu Ray in 1080 not 4K. I can play it in 1080 but not 4K

    Hey WILDman260,

    Are specifically having this issue with the 4K Blue-Ray version of Oblivion as well? I saw that you mentioned 4K Blu-Rays worked before the update, did you set up your Xbox One S and try a 4K Blu-ray before updating?

    Thanks for posting this up, are there any other Universal Studios 4K Blu-Ray movies that you can try out as well? In the meantime, please try uninstalling the Blu-Ray app, power cycle your Xbox One S console by holding the power button, and then reinstall
    the Blu-Ray app.

    xbox one "will" support 4k blu-rays in the future. They just haven't announced it when it will. So if you buy 4k blu ray movies they will not play yet on the xbox one. as with standard blu rays I find it only noticeable on larger blu ray tvs. I have
    a 4k 70in tv, the only way I can currently see blu ray formatted shows is on the built in apps in the tv. Mainly Netflix.
