    4K and HDCP Issues

I recently have encountered two issues with my Xbox One S 1TB.

The First issue is, about a month ago I unplugged the HDMI cable from my Xbox to reposition it. When I plugged the HDMI cable back in, It would not give me full 4K resolution, at best it would get me distorted 600x400 or 800 resolution and tell me my TV
does not support 4K if I tried to increase the settings. My only choice at that point was to switch back to 1080p resolution. My TV is an LG 4K TV that has HDR. My Xbox originally recognized that my TV supported 4K and HDR. But for whatever reason it now is
    deciding it does not.

The second issue is any time I insert a DVD or Blu-ray disc into my console I get an HDCP error saying my HDMI port does not support it or something very similar and that I need to make sure my console is plugged into an HDMI port that supports at least
HDCP 1.4. I have tried every HDMI port on my TV and tried different HDMI cables and I get the same error.

I have have reset my Xbox and still get the same error. Can anyone help me?

    :)

If neither of the above works, check the HDMI port visually on the console for damage. You say you've tried several ports on the tv with the same result, so this points to either the console or the cable being damaged. If the HDMI port looks ok, possible
that the cable is damaged, check the plugs at each end for misaligned pins, or try a different cable.

Check the seating of the HDMI cable in the TV and console sockets.

When the console is reconnected to the TV, turn them on in this order.. TV then AVR if using and then the console last of all.

Troubleshoot 4K and HDR on xbox one support page may assist you.

I experienced this myself recently. Weirdly the only thing that solved it was to hard restart. Hold power button for 10 seconds until powers off. Unplug everything. Including them HDMI. Replug in, including console to socket. Reboot and then it recognised
it all again. Hopefully this works for you.

Maybe you accidentally damaged the cable?

    xbox one not recognising HDR

It seems my tv only supports HDCP 1.4 instead of 2.0. Since its full hd. Not 4k. Could this be the issue?
