4k 120hz not working

No that is not ture I used it at 1080p and 120hz with 165hz monitor its the xbox capabilities are not as they say I got a refund because it was mostly just a Is backwards compatibility system it should not saying upto 4k 120hz even with hdr it don't work unless it in 4k

Microsoft claims that:

"4K games with 120 frames per second are available if you have all of the following:

an Xbox Series X console

an Ultra High Speed ​​HDMI cable with support for HDMI 2.1

an HDMI 2.1 compliant TV

To enable 4K games at 120Hz, press the Xbox  button to open the panel and select Profile & System > Settings > General > TV & Display Options. Make sure your Resolution is set to 4K UHD and set Refresh Rate to 120Hz.

if you set the correct settings and not the image or it doesn't reach the 4k resolution it is not compatible to run in this resolution on the Xbox X series.

While I don't know how you have things set up, I did look at the specs of that reciever and it is not 4k 120hz compatible. It lacks HDMI 2.1.

Thanks to you I was able to get it to work at 4K with 120hz.

The issue was the guys that configured my TV had set the HDMI mode to EF(Dolby support) and that mode does not seem to support 120hz.

> I changed the mode to Standard and it made things worse so then I changed it back to EF only and voila it worked 4k at 120hz!
