480i incompatibility problems with VGA CRT

VGA, HDMI, and DVI all support

If you mean HDCP, that implies a bigger problem. You may mean the display's scaler. Whenever possible the 360 should be set to the native resolution of the

Nope, not the one's that will let you connect to a CRT that uses VGA. You'll need to get a separate cable for that. The official name for the cable is "Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable".

the vga port and HDMI ones on laptops are outputs only so no the only way to do what you want is to hook up a 360 to a PC monitor (CRT/VGA or LCD/LED) sorry.

Does it have DVI or Component or VGA? I'm sure you can get converters. It's a flat panel? or old Crt?

Nearly all CRT based projection TVs, of which millions were sold, are 480i/p and 1080i. All mitsubishi CRT HDTVs, which were the biggest selling brand for 50 inch+ displays are 480i/p and 1080i. Besides, there has been enough queries about this that Msoft
engineers are working on a patch. And while this banter about numbers of people impacted is a rather picayune disagreement, the proof of more than 11 impacted is evident by the fact that the engineers are working on a solution. q.e.d. All I want, and I'm
sure others do as well is to play their Xbox ONEs on the HDTVs they already own.
