So the only post i saw with the same exact status code was in german so im helping someone can help me reslove this issue or atleast point me in the right direction

Xbox will not update - status Code - 3f45-0000-3080-0506-8007-2ee2

So i have just bought a Brand New xbox 360 4GB. All set up and Working great ... Right lets get back on xbox live.

Xbox needs to do an update ...

3f45-0000-3080-0506-8007-2ee2, 3f45-0000-3080-0506-8007-2ee2, 3f45-0000-3080-0506-8007-2ee2

^^^ This is the Error code i keep getting no matter what i do :/ So i cannot get xbox live ...

Yes my network/Internet connection are fine, its the updates from Microsoft which are stopping me

Any Ideas ?

This is a rare Xbox related error that pops up when there was a system issue with an update. The easiest way to resolve this matter is with a flash USB drive; I'm hoping you have one.

Note The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system.

1. Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.

2. Download the update file from
www.xbox.com/system-update-cd

3. Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer.

4. Unzip the file. If you are using Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.

5. Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory of your flash drive.

6. Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.

7. Plug the flash drive into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console.

8. Restart the console.

9. When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically. Select Yes when you are prompted to update the new console software.

 

My issue is no USB. Is there another fix?

the usb worked it was a little crazy thou. i saw the extracting bar pop up and got excited then it finished and went to a Error 74 screen. i unplugged and restarted and its fine now.

 

When asked to update, I hit yes then this error code pops up: 417F-0000-3080-0300-D000-0185

I've tried to put update on a flash drive but that didn't work. XBox Live suggestion is to remove all storage, and then put back and try again. Well, it's the 4GB and only has internal memory. Any thoughts????
