    Xbox live is down as of ~8:30am EST on December 6th. I'm going out to buy a Playstation, and if Microsoft wants to maintain ANY sort of goodwill with me, they'll give me a prorated refund on my Xbox live account. The uptime of their servers in absolutely
    unacceptable.

    got the same thing and the support from an xbox rep didnt help he couldnt tell me what was wrong or how to fix it

    Same problem! We had been receiving this error code when trying to update a couple different games but now it's for the Xbox itself. And until the Xbox is updated, we can't play on Xbox live! This is getting very frustrating. I'm thinking we should get some
    compensation for not being able to use something that we pay for!

    Makes me wonder if I made the wrong choice!! Glad I haven't bought Either the new system or the subscription yet!! I know the servers will get crushed on Christmas if they are down now!! Makes me wonder how long that will be days or weeks after the Christmas

    Got the same error for almost a week now. I have the XBOX 360 with 60GB hard drive. Tried clearing the cache and reformatting the HD but it;s futile. Can't believe there's still no fix.
