    4174-0000-0080-0300-8007-0070


    I am getting error code 4174-0000-0080-0300-8007-0070 when I attempt to update my system. When attempting to test my connection to Xbox Live, I get a live connection error between the Internet and XBOX LIVE steps. None of the troubleshooting works. Trying
    to go to chat help gets an error. I've been having this problem for at least a month now, so this isn't anything to do with my set-up or a temporary problem.

    Unsure if related: I have noticed that my onboard memory for my Xbox has disappeared; it shows as "Unformatted" in storage under settings, and attempting to format again does nothing. I've been using my USB drive.

    Sorry to hear it. That code suggests an issue with the storage device itself.

    Try putting the USB device in your pc and formatting it there before using it on the console to see if that helps. If it doesn't then you'll need to purchase either a new USB device or an official Xbox 360 hard drive in order to download the update.
