I have the Xbox 360 s 4 gig console. When trying to install the latest system update I receive the following Status Code...

40A3 - 0000 - 0080 - 0300 - 8007 - 045D



From what I can tell, this means the system is not recognizing the 4 gig internal flash memory upon boot-up/installation....

A storage device (such as a memory unit or hard drive) was not found during the software update. Follow these steps:

1. Turn off your console.
2. Remove all console storage devices, including any USB flash drives, external hard drives or the internal hard drive on the Xbox 360 E console or Xbox 360 S console.
   
   Learn how to remove the hard drive.
3. Add your primary storage device, for example, the hard drive.
   
4. Turn on the console
5. Try updating the console again.

Any other ideas? I've tried and tried the above solution. When the console is booted-up, I can see the 4 gig memory in system/storage. There is 1.1 gigs available.




- No user profiles on the console memory

- No games

- No pics

- No videos

It's a "clean" memory slate.

-Tried clearing cache

- rb lb x rb lb x

- tried Y delete

- tried formatting

- tried installing update from usb.

- tried a formatted 32 gig usb memory stick thinking it would see this memory and install to that

- tried a brand new 320 gig ms hard drive. it would download and begin install but throw up a status code before the install completed.

XBOX360 Update Error

Hey what does this code mean I don't understand 40A3-0000-0080-0300-8007-2EE2

 

can't connect to xbox live

status code 397F-0000-0080-0300-8007-045D....

ran test, connection to internet but not xbox live

 

I am getting the EXACT same status code. Been trying to fix this for 2 days now. I have tried everything you have tried as well and nothing worked.

Last update before this 4/1/14 one seemed to have fried my internal 4g storage unit. So I bought a usb and installed manually and it worked. Thought it was the same issue here but it does not work.

 

I have this problem too. the xbox support is teling me to pull out my storge divice and put it back. i have 250g and itried thet 4 times and its steel dosent work.

 

The same thing happened to me. When I start it up, it asks me to do an update, so I do but it stops when the green bar is at one inch and after a few seconds it says: "Can't connect to xbox live. To test connection go to system > network > test connection.
Error code: 416B-0000-0080-0300-8007-045D"

I have tried literally EVERYTHING.

 

the guy i talked to today said they are working on a new patch right now to fix it. He could have just saying that but i really hope they are. I have the same exact problems.

 

Why has this not been solved? This is outrageous.
