4 total headsets, 2 total microsoft controllers......all originally worked, now none work.

Hello all. I hope someone can help me.

I bought my xbox 1 s about a year ago. When I purchased it I also purchased a set of A10's.

Everything was great until about 2 months later when the sound and mic would cut out once in a while. Then it cut out completely.

I then purchased a HyperX headset. Worked fine for a while, then sound and mic cut out intermittently like before, then it cut out completely.

So I then went out and purchased a brand new Microsoft brand controller and ANOTHER brand new headset. This time it was a turtle beach model.

None of the headsets worked with the brand new controller.

On a whim while i was at the store I bought a wired controller. It worked but now I have tangled wires and a general mess.

Am I missing something? is it normal to have this much trouble?

All I want is for my stuff to work. I don't abuse it, I work hard and want my stuff to last.

I am at my wits end. I spent as much or more on controllers and headsets as I did the dang xbox.

Make sure you update all your controllers.

Just to add.. The adapter solved my similar issues you are having and was a good purchase for me after buying a couple of controllers and headsets.

JUst to be clear when you say they are each not working do you mean at all or not as well as they should be? It sounds like a problem with the Xbox itself to me but I am not hardware inclined. That does
NOT sound typical or normal at all.

Thanks a lot bud. I appreciate the help. So far updating the controller has worked.

In the past the update would "take" for a few mins and then everything would cut out again.

I am grateful for the help you guys have given me.

Ok, it's hard to explain what is happening.

Original controller and A10 head set. Worked fine for a while. Started to cut out from time to time. Then stopped working completely.

Original controller and a NEW headset. Hyperx model. Same as above. Worked ok at first, started cutting out and then stopped working completely.

Brand new microsoft brand controller and brand new Turtle Beach headset. Neither would work at all and a combination of the other headsets and new controller didnt work either.

I just updated the controller and so far so good, but I expect it to fail again within the next little while.

And I know about the adapter, but I should NOT have to pay more $$$ in order to get proper performance.
