    this is a huge issue plaguing my friends and I. between 4 different systems, every controller that's not a base wired controller, and the few Bluetooth headsets we have constantly disconnect. everything I've seen is either

    1) batteries : which it's not, we've tried all the rechargeable batteries we had and a brand new pack of batteries. still the same.

    2) factory reset: while it worked at first, it was a temporary solution to the reoccurring problem

    3) pair to a pc or mobile and back: temporary solution again, lasts a few hours then disconnects. also it doesn't disconnect like this from my phone or labtop

    4) close the distance to the system: most of us are on a desk, 3' or less from the system. or even sometimes hardwired. its not a distance problem

    I'm assuming its a software issue in the update of the system itself because none of these controllers have done this before. at any length from the system. one system is an out of the box series s that started doing it. anyone know any real fixes or solutions? because its getting hard to enjoy playing xbox anymore because any time i try to do anything i have to stop every 3 seconds to shut off then turn the controller back on. and playing games like Red dead, r6 extraction, or any other game where seconds matter, i'm left to the literal devices waiting for the reconnect...

    Hello,

    I am assuming this is a primary issue with the Bluetooth within the headsets and controllers. If they are being connected to various platform and exhibiting the same behavior that it is the devices themselves not the platforms.

    Could you connect the controllers to each system and let me know what the firmware is for the controllers? Please note, there are different updates for controllers on PC and controllers on console so it may appear differently in some instances, and this can be the same for the headsets. In addition, if you are and Xbox insider, could you also submit a report a problem through the Nexus (Xbox Button) Menu, it will give us a better look into your system in case it may be the issue.

    Mr wireless controllers keep disconnecting from Xbox One console

    I have been through all the steps to rectify (rebooting, battery, updates etc) but it is still happening to all controllers. Works fine for 30 to 40 mins then starts disconnecting, even with the charging cable plugged in.

    Any suggestions?
    Is this happening when you have a headset plugged into it or still disconnecting even without the headset?

    I was asking because I had the same problem but only with a headset plugged into the controller. I was using a Lucid 25 headset which runs strictly off the controller. I got a optical headset and now only my chat runs through the controller and the game
    sound is wireless and haven't had any issues since. I'm guessing the headset was pulling to much amperage from the controller. Don't know if it is the same problem you were having. It did do it with all 3 controllers I had.

    Can't find volume control???

    I know in the recent update they did make some changes to the system but I am sure if you are using Xbox one compatible headsets, meaning that on the connector that goes into the controller it will have three rings on it. If the console recognizes your headset
    you will find the volume controls in the settings menu when you go to settings, it will be right before you click on all settings if the console is actually reading the headset.

    Do you have a wireless stereo headset like MadKatz or Turtle Beach? If so, please disconnect their base station from the back of the Xbox.



    If you do not, I'd start by clearing the system cache (it's just updates plus other temporary files, nothing that's at all important to anyone) by:

    1) Tap the silver Xbox Guide button on the controller, go right 2 clicks to Settings, pick System Settings.

    2) Select Storage (or Memory).

    3) Move over any hard drive or memory unit (not the Cloud) & press (Y) on your controller & pick Clear System Cache.

    4) When asked to confirm storage device maintenance, choose Yes.
