4 New Xbox One Backwards-Compatible Games Added Today!

Easy to play, takes ages to master.....

 

Quick question. When a game becomes backward compatible is it only available digitally? Or can you just pop the disc in and start playing. I've been waiting for a shooter and its my understanding that Black Ops is close. Thanks.

 

AW American Nightmare was good and it was addicting trying to get the achievements. 1 or 2 in particular were really challenging but rewarding after you get them.

 

@juice5150 yes if you have a game on disc that is backwards compatible you will be able to play it , it will install just like a normal game

Even though I am never ever going to use the Backwards Compatibility on the Xbox One (why would I when I still have my Xbox 360), I am really glad that Microsoft is providing this service for those players that never had an Xbox 360 or are looking for a
reason to move away from the Xbox 360.

With that being said, I suspect that this is going to be " de ja vu " all over again like the Xbox 360 and Original Xbox games compatibility.

It is going to start out with tons of releases to make Original Xbox owners jump into the Xbox 360. Then, when " mass conversion " towards the Xbox 360 is achieved the Original Xbox games being added to the list is going to trickle down rapidly until support
for the progam is completely dead.

Red Dead Redemption finally!

 

Trials HD is the only new 1 for me. Still, I can use it to unlockk stuff for its sequel, which is nice.

 

I think its funny how they announced BC will become available as soon as their ready as in making it seem like we'll get more quicker when this month we only got 4 xD

Significantly less than we would get if they were still doing the monthly releases lol -_-

I really don't think backwards compatibility will ever catch on like everyone hopes it will.

Just kind of seems like a gimmick to win over people on the fence about Sony or Microsoft.

I see this whole " Backwards Compatibility " campaign as repeat of the Xbox 360's draw to lure Original Xbox owners to upgrade (only this time around it is the Xbox 360 owners being lured to upgrade to the Xbox One).

Once the majority of the user base becomes Xbox One, I fully expect the addition of games in this Backwards Compatibility List to trickle down rapidly into nothingness as support for it (Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility) is going to stop completely.
