4 Broken Controllers, 2 Month Span

I have spent $240 on buying 4 controllers in the last 60 days, each time I was denied returning or trading in controllers from either Newegg or Gamestop. The controllers either fail to connect wirelessly, do not charge in a station, have broken buttons,

r the mic port does not work. What is going on?

FPS gamers, what is the average life span of your analog sticks?

The FPS is a good test for controllers.

My 360 controllers would last for a several years before needing replacement.

My Xbox One controllers are a different story. Not made very well IMO as I have had to replace 2. The life span of each controller has been about 6-7 months.

My LS was drifting up on both.

Xbox one Elite controller

I bought 2 Elite and both left bumpers broke about 6 months into owning them...Really hope they make a better controller. $300 and now i have 2 broken controllers. What a joke!

I had some deja vu reading your post, since it was somewhat similar to one I just posted. Good luck ... I'm jumping ship. I've also spent $240 on 4 additional controllers, although they broke over a 2 and a half year period of limited use.

Had one controller for 4 years. No issue, second controller is also good. If it has happened to the same spot each time in the span of 5 months, it sounds like to much pressure is being applied to that stick.

Agreed, but 4 repairs in a 6 month span? Maybe you want to help the customer.

It's only been 2 days but through multiple uses, the problem has not reappeared with the corded controller. I went back to the cordless and the intermittent problem is still there.

So, it seems to be a cordless controller issue that spans a 2 month old controller and a brand new cordless controller.

What now? I don't want to just say "Stick to corded controllers". There has to be a fix.

All rechargeable batteries have realistically a 6 month life span with reduced performance after a month or so. If I get a day or so out of mine I'm happy. I use a third party energizer docking station for my 2 controllers now as I hate having the chord
connected to charge a controller.
