3rd Party XBox One Music apps

Why no Music apps on Xbox One beside Xbox Music? Xbox 360 Has
iHeartRadio, Vevo, and
last.fm.

I used all 3 because they are free subscriptions and they were 30% of my Xbox 360's Live usage (Video apps 25%, Games 55%)

I used iHeartRadio for live radio stations,
Vevo for music videos, and Last.fm for all your music favorites played in one channel and music discovery!

Come on you guys (Development team), I thought your motto for the Xbox One's Design was "All-in-One" entertainment device. I bet any of you and gamers used any of these 3rd party music apps on their Xbox 360 or other platforms.

I just want a confirmation if there is any plans on getting music apps real soon! plus if there is one, It would be cool using the Kinect for hand and voice gestures in those apps even the Smart-Glass interaction.
If they release any of those apps, please make it Snapable or playable on background.

USB Flash Drive not being Detected?

The Xbox apps do not currently support playing music from a USB drive for background music. There are some 3rd party apps that have this ability like Simple Background Music Player.

Xbox apps don't work without Xbox live.

Live is only for authentication, after that the apps connect to the various 3rd party services. These are not delivered through the xbox live network. That's why if you are already logged in and live goes down you can still use 3rd party apps.

The apps for different services are created by those services themselves. You would need to contact them to find out if there are plans to release an app for the console.

trust me when i say this look when the xbox 360 came out it featured background music no 3rd party app with ads but all of a sudden Xbox One comes no background music at launch but summer 2016 update comes but now its got to be a 3rd party app not the Xbox's
own media player. its strange that the first app is not one of Microsofts and yet its strange that they allowed this instead of updating one of there own.

You need 3rd party hardware. I'm using my galaxy s4 with an app called skifta, I am "streaming" music from my phone's memory to xbox one. The app allows you to access music from any media source over your network, and stream media between the two. Play and
listen to xbox music using snap and there you go. Not aware of a windows program that can do this, but I don't see why not, but I perfer using my phone. It sucks to not have direct usb access, but this works for now.
