3rd party power supply for xbox one

    Hi all,

i just bought a 3rd party power supply for xbox one as there weren't no genuine ones available (I know you can get a new one from Microsoft if your old psu is broken but mine is not). However, I realize that the output is quite different. On the original
it's 12V, 17.9A while on the new one it's 12V but only 10.83A. I plugged it in and play for an hour or so and it seems fine but I want to know if this will be a problem in the future. Will it damage my console or itself overtime?

    :)

xbox one 3rd party power supply

what are the reviews from those people that bought them(3d party one's)? because i can pretty much tell you its not going to be as good or as trust worthy as the official power supply MS made

Plus if I had to buy a new power supply for my xbox one(or any other console) Its not going to be a third party one because I don't trust it lasting as long and it blowing my console up from either shorting out from being cheaply made or because it crap

spend the extra cash to get an official power supply, its not worth saving a few extra bucks now only to have to spend more money on fixing your xbox one later or having to buy a whole new one

because you know the 3d partry power supply will die or kill your xbox one way before the official xbox made one does.........

You should never ever use a 3rd party power brick on your console. It voids the warranty & can cause no end of problems.

If your official power brick is ok why not use that?

If it's from a different region you should be able to contact support & exchange it for the correct one.

How do you exchange for a correct one? I don't think they allow that.

    Contact support
    support.xbox.com/.../contact-us
& explain the situation to them.

I'd do it by phone personally. Not knowing where you are I can't give you the correct phone number.

Right now I'm in the US. This is also where I bought my xbox one, which is using a psu with an input of 110V. I want to get a psu with an input of 220V so I'll be able to use it when I get back to my home country. I don't think they're gonna just send or
sell me a new one but still thank you for your help!

You would have to wait until you get back to your home country & contact support there.

Explain that you were living in another region & bought your console there but you now need the correct power supply for the country you are now in & they should exchange it if you are still under warranty or offer to sell you the correct power brick.

  10. Out of all the things that you can buy from 3rd party, a power brick is probably the worst.

Purchasing original XBOX One original Power Supply

There's no longer official power supply available to my knowledge. So you have to buy a 3rd party power-supply or an used one on eBay or other trader-platforms.
