    3rd party headsets on windows 10 xbox app


    Understandably window 10 Xbox app is still beta for some players already have good quality headsets for the gaming laptops/towers. For me party chat in Xbox app works only for sound no mic. currently this function only works for the Xbox one headset with
    controller plugged in. We already the headset splitters for mic and headset which work on everything but the Xbox app to chat and hear. When would it be possible to add the third party headsets in the app and remove the need to plug the controller into the
    tower? So pc gamers can have separate jacks for the headset and controller

    Hi Isaac,

    Thanks for reaching out to us! So far three different controllers had worked for a day, more or less before not detecting the headset, correct? It is a NUBWO stereo headset (3rd party) with an Xbox standard controller. I understand that the headset works
    on another device but try another headset or even a cheap pair of headphones on the controller to check the port.

    Also, yes it is best to update the controller as well.
    Update your controller     by using the Xbox Accessories app:

    1. Get the app from Microsoft Windows 10 by searching for "Xbox Accessories."
    2. Launch the Xbox Accessories app.
    3. Connect your Xbox One Wireless Controller by using a USB cable or the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.
    4. Note You'll be prompted to update to Windows 10 Anniversary Edition if you haven't yet done so.
    5. When the controller is connected, you'll see the message “Update Required” if an update is mandatory. Install the update.

    Mic not working in the xbox app and in party chat while streaming

    Im having the same issue as DomNic... The xbox app on windows 10 PC was working fine yesterday with my headset. Tried to party today for chat and nothing.... If I mute myself, I cannot unmute.

    Usb Headsets and microphones...

    USB headsets are not compatible with an Xbox one, and so far there is no software to fix this issue. If you are looking to use the headset for chatting purposes only you can download the xbox app on windows 10, often it is pre-installed on windows 10
    pcs. With the xbox app you can create a party and invite your friend(s), the party will have voice chat.

    Sorry to hear it. The controller may be licensed by Xbox but, being Mad Catz, it is still a 3rd party controller and this could be the reason that Windows 10 does not recognize it. Also, be aware that Windows 10 is still new and more than likely does not
    have all the authorized 3rd party peripherals added yet.

    Bluetooth headset connectivity on Xbox one S (All Digital)

    There are some more convoluted setups as well, but they would work such as connecting the bluethooth headset to a Windows 10 PC and using the Game Bar or Xbox apps to connect to a Xbox party and chatting that way, still remaining wire free and utilizing
    your existing bluetooth headsets.

    Thanks for posting. While streaming your Xbox One to your Windows 10 PC, it is by design that Xbox Live parties are prioritized on Windows 10 at that point.

    However, if you own a Micro USB cable or the Xbox One Wireless Controller Adapter for your Windows 10 PC, you can use the Xbox One Chat Headset on Windows 10 for Xbox Live Parties. Check out our
