    3rd Party Headset


    Hello
    I have both the X-Series and the PS5 and I wanted a headset that would be compatible with both consoles.
    In my personal case with the Cloud Revolver from HyperX, the 7.1 is not taken into account as the USB dongle does not work.
    I have to make do with stereo by connecting directly to the pad.
    Is Microsoft planning to unlock support for unlicensed third party products in the future?

    Chat through a HI-FI headphone??

    As far as I've been able to tell, chat does not work for most 3rd party headsets when using the adapter. The adapter that was, of course, supposed to enable chat for 3rd party headsets. Sigh.

    Is your son in the preview/insider program?

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
    Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
    Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

    You can use the Steelseries Arctis 7x for XSX, PS5 and PC.

    I've got the Arctis 7P, which is only compatible with PS5 and PC, so be careful when buying.

    The only issue is, you have to use a USB-C Dongle to use it on the consoles, not like the Xbox Wireless Headset, which directly connects to the Xbox.
