    3rd party controller remapping?


    I recently bought a 3rd party power a starwars controller (do not buy the analogs broke within a month) and I'm wondering if I am able to remap the buttons on it. The app to reisign buttons don't seem to recognise the controller. Please help.

    Just had a look at Afterglow, they do make an XB1 pad but it's shaped exactly like the official ones and also has rumble triggers. The 2 things I hate about the pad, usually you can disable stuff like rumble on some 3rd party stuff but it doesn't look like
    you can on that, cheers for the suggestion anyway mate.

    big fan of afterglow tbh, had controllers and the 360 and they were good, but no idea what there like for the xbox one.

    Think remapping only works with official controllers but i'm not 100% sure.

    Elite Controller LEGACY STICK REMAPPING

    Thanks for your suggestion, but why would I go buy a 3rd party hardware/software combo when XBox has an official remapping tool that specifically allows for the elite controller to be completely remapped except for this one single setting? And don't people
    get banned from using a 3rd party modstick? I would much rather have xbox just add in that ONE setting for us.

    Do you have Steam running in the background? Steam Input can remap controller inputs to mouse/keyboard inputs. I recommend closing Steam and any other 3rd party apps that may interfere with controller functionality.

    What controller are you using? Do you have any 3rd party drivers or software installed that could remap your controller inputs?

    If you're playing through Steam, it could be using a custom controller layout: On the game's page, go to Manage Game > Controller Options

    I don't believe it is possible to remap the buttons of a third party controller. Only Microsoft controllers will be able to do that.
