    3rd party camera for mixer


    Hey All!

    I recently installed the insider app on my xbox one so that I can use a 3rd party webcam with my mixer broadcasting.

    Apps installed camera plugged in.

    When I open up mixer and adjust camera settings I can see my camera working fine.

    I turn it off, play some Minecraft with my daughter logged in as a guest. When I try to turn mixer on again It is saying not all users have the camera use allowed in the settings.

    The guest has been logged out. There are only 2 users on the xbox and both have camera allowed and streaming to everyone allowed.

    Mixer continues to say user settings are blocking the camera?

    Any help would be great!

    Twitch stream with 3rd cam

    Well hello!

    Does anyone know if you can stream to twitch yet with a 3rd party webcam? Or is it still only Mixer? I ask before I go and spend out on a webcam for streaming.

    xbox live vision on xbox one

    Hi,

    The camera must support NV12 or YUY2 video format, I cant find anything about the live vision format.]

    If you own a live vision camera you can try it.

    Remove mixer and community app from my console

    lets see what is mixer bringing to us with the news xbox.

    there are so many bad news about mixer but on the other side alot of 3rd party things want to do more with mixer and xbox (streaming things).

    lets see. mybe there will be more of that communit/share stuff or maybe its going away.

    If your talking about the Mixer Stream with the new webcam support , no you will not see it on your consoles output. My best understanding the pro streamers go to a PC to stream for more control and other advanced features with a 3rd party streaming device.

    i tried your test today joined several parties with known users of 3rd party headsets , and suprisingly nothing happened . but when i jumped into Forza 4 my camera went wonky... then in my mind ( dang it Knowitall you caused a spread lol) so i guess its

    Connection to any streaming application on Xbox

    Hi there,

    The only streaming services on the Xbox is Mixer and Twitch but the Twitch app is only limited to using the Kinect as a webcam and mic because Twitch hasn't seemed to update the app.

    On Mixer you can connect a webcam through USB and the Camera option will be selectable in the "Broadcast & capture" tab in the menu found under Advanced Settings. As far as the Microphone goes, I think it should work and be detected as you say that it works
    for party chats and most streamers use their headset mic's but give it a try in the advanced settings on Mixer and let us know if it works.

    One Kinect

    I'm not exactly sure at the moment why the Kinect will work with Twitch, but not while broadcasting on Mixer. It should work on both.

    If you have a Kinect sensor or a webcam set up, you can also use Mixer to broadcast yourself live. To broadcast in full-screen camera mode:

    1. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide and then go to the
      Capture & share tab.
    2. Select Start broadcasting and then switch Fullscreen Camera to
      On.
    3. Select Start broadcast.

    Note If you want to switch between games while broadcasting with Mixer, switch to full-screen camera mode while you’re changing games and your stream won’t be paused or interrupted.

    Is it possible the camera has been turned off in the Xbox guide or somewhere in the Mixer settings?
