3M xbox gold won't work

I literaly just bought a new xbox one s and a 3 month gold membership to go with it. So when I was going through the set up it told me to put in the code for the gold. After I did, it said that it was sent to my email and the email said it was successful but
it's not working. I retried and it said that it was now a already redeemed code. Do I just restart my xbox?

They can check if your code is valid.

If valid they'll help redeeming it.

If not valid, you'll have to contact your local reseller.

please double check account.microsoft.com/services to see if the subscription shows there.

If it does, then be sure to try Restarting your Xbox One console and also try signing your profile out and in again.
