3d officially announced for the August update!!

This is what I've never understood about Camaro's request for this -- I have a 3D TV & Blu-Ray player, and I know Camaro has had one well before the One ever came out. So, naturally, I would think he would have had a 3D capable Blu-Ray player as well.

The update doesn't really matter to me either way as I've always had the BD player for it.. but.. more features & updates are a good thing, I guess.

I love 3D and yes it is a much needed update, but for the people not interested in 3D that is fine but don't spoil it for ones that do, 3D is all i have now as everyone moaning about kinect has ruined that feature.

I love 3D films but some can be no better than standard 2D, others are awesome. But I'm not interested in the XBone 3d as I have a 3d home cinema Blue Ray player

I have been using my PS3 as my 3d blu ray player. I only use the PS3 for blu ray and for exclusives. When the X1 was announced as the console that "does it all" I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get rid of the PS3 and have 1 console that
truly would "do it all". Only to find out later the X1 didn't have 3d. Now finally a year later the X1 truly will "do it all" for me in 1 system.

Did you know going ouside is a real 4d effect???....

3d has been nothing but a gimic since the 1950's...

15%-20% sounds about right. Luckily the demand is high enough that they keep supporting 3d. Once you see movies properly displayed in 3d or play games properly displayed in 3d, its very hard to play without 3d. The amount of depth perception and immersion
with 3d is incredible.

The majority of the movies that release in the theater are in 3d. So 3d is growing more and more every year and is here to stay. The technology is miles ahead of the 3d in the 80s. In fact they don't even have the red blue glasses in the theater any more.
The glasses are clear and very comfortable.

I am just so happy the update is finally happening. I was guessing about a year. So glad it is finally coming. I will finally have the X1 sometime in August for sure.
