3D Movies Not Displaying in 3D

I had a similar problem tonight, but I was trying to play the 3D version. The problem I had was that "Allow 3D" was unchecked in the XBOX Display and Audio Settings. I've watched other 3D movies but that setting must've been changed by an update or something.
If you aren't trying to watch 3D this may not be helpful, but the Display and Audio settings may be worth taking a look at.

15%-20% sounds about right. Luckily the demand is high enough that they keep supporting 3d. Once you see movies properly displayed in 3d or play games properly displayed in 3d, its very hard to play without 3d. The amount of depth perception and immersion
with 3d is incredible.

The majority of the movies that release in the theater are in 3d. So 3d is growing more and more every year and is here to stay. The technology is miles ahead of the 3d in the 80s. In fact they don't even have the red blue glasses in the theater any more.
The glasses are clear and very comfortable.

I am just so happy the update is finally happening. I was guessing about a year. So glad it is finally coming. I will finally have the X1 sometime in August for sure.

Could someone from Microsoft please confirm if the Xbox one would support 3D Blu-Ray movie play back! I love watching 3D movies, I know some people don't and that's great for them. For the people that don't like 3D just don't buy your movie in 3D, but for
some of us we like to play our game and movies in 3D. Yes not every movie/game is done good in 3D but some are and they are freaking AWESOME.

I had the same issue. I have the scorpio and a 4k tv. Make sure you have the video settings to 8 bit and not 10 bit. That worked for me, and now all my 3D movies play just fine. It sucks to have to change back and forth from 8 for 3D to 10 for 4K gaming
but it's a small annoyance. Hope this helps

Interesting, as this issue has been going on for some time, around 4 months since the Xbox One X and Xbox One S received a system update. Before that all LG 4K 3D TV owners had no issues playing 3D BluRays, but since that update around 4 months ago (on the
insider program, and 3 months ago on public release), all that happens when LG owners play back 3D BluRays is the TV shows "no signal". I've reported this so many times, and logged console feedback. Many others have too:

Microsoft still haven't fixed the issue, and the only workaround I've found so far is to disable 4K output on my Xbox One X, to force it to output a 1080p 2D signal. Then inserting the 3D disc, and playing back 3D content works fine. The problem for me, and
it seems others looked to be a problem with the Xbox One X, and S switching from 4K 2160p 2D output to 1080p 3D output. Or more specifically it seems to be a problem / incompatibility between the Xbox One X/S and LG 4K 3D TV's, as other 3D TV's don't seem
to have the problem.

As I'm getting really peeved by this issue, and it's been unfixed for so long, I've re-raised the issue on all the above threads, and also contacted Xbox Support direct to raise the issue. Highlighting the number of people reporting it. I really hope that this
time Microsoft can see it is an issue, and try and fix it. It may well be an LG / Xbox incompatibility, but it was working 4 months ago with no issue, and the only thing that changed was my Xbox One X got an update then 3D playback stopped working properly.

Received a number of system updates, and even a BluRay Player app update since, as it's still an issue. I've even had another LG 4K 3D TV user contact me, and they have the same problem. This is
an LG <-> Xbox One X/S specific issue it seems. Just got Last Jedi 3D today, and put it in, same old problem. The 2D menu presents itself, but as soon as I try and play
the movie, the Xbox One X tries to switch my TV out of 4K and to 3D HD mode, but I get no signal, as does everyone else it seems with an LG 4K
3D TV?

Again I can work around this by disabling 4K output on my Xbox One X in the Settings to force a 1080p output for the home and guide etc. Then when I put in a 3D BluRay disc it
all works as it should, and the Xbox is able to switch my TV from 180p HD to 3D mode.

Please, please, please, can someone provide some feedback on this issue. I know it's been passed to the dev team for investigation, but nothing has happened to fix the issue, I've had no feedback at all, nor have any of the other LG
users with the same problem.

Completely happy to have a 1 to 1 conversation on the phone or something to try and help resolve this issue for everyone.
