3D Movie Support

The latest update that gives 3D Bluray support is awesome! Thank you!

Will there be support for playing 3D Movies from apps like Vudu? I purchased Captain America The Winter Soldier 2D/3D version but cannot play the 3D version. It only shows play trailer.

I too need to know if Xbox One will ever support 3D. I have a brand new Vizio 3D TV and my satellite provider has 3D channels but of course I cannot view them while connected to the XBX1. If Microsoft is never going to support this, let me know so can re-configure
my set up and have my Direct TV going directly to the TV instead. Though I will miss using the voice commands…a little...

I purchased Captain America Winter soldier 2D/3D as well and was very surprised that my Xbox One couldn't display the 3D version but my Sony Playstation 3 can. That's just wrong. I'll check the Vudu Forum but I didn't want DJ to think he was alone.

 

There are many different 3D capable devices available in the realm of home entertainment. Many of these devices allow access to VUDU streaming content. Not all of them are currently able to access streaming 3D content on VUDU. This is largely determined
by the device manufacturer. VUDU recommends contacting the device manufacturer for questions on this matter.

Finger pointing dilemma.

 

Is anyone else having problems playing back purchased 3D Blu Ray Movies? I have an LG 3D TV and when I play the 3D version of the film there are constantly thick bands / lines in the background / overlaying the picture and the motion is all pixelated and
breaks up during movement.

2D film in the same Blu Ray bundle works fine. I've swapped the HDMI cable, Made sure 3D is enabled in the Xbox settings, and checked the TV's firmware is up to date but still the same picture that is unwatchable.

Any other tips or solutions or is this going to require a software update from Xbox?

 

I have not gotten a response yet from Vudu in their forums however the response from Microsoft is valid since Vudu makes the app. Basically placing support in the app is in Vudu's corner. However seeing that 3D support has only just been added I can understand
why Vudu has not released an update. That is if it is even possible. Essentially I just want to know if it is even possible as that would dictate whether or not I continue to use Vudu to purchase movies. I have generally used Apple TV to make my early digital
purchases but I am one of the few that like to watch the 3D versions of the films and Vudu is currently the only Digital source at an affordable price (if you can catch the sales). I am transitioning from purchasing discs to digital as I have closets full
of discs and I am running out of room as well as watching my kids destroy the discs by not taking care of them.

I have not yet ad a chance to watch one of my 3D blurays on the system so I don't have an answer for KIDGARRETT. I would suggest posting your question on its own thread so that you can get more attention towards it. I am afraid that your question might get
buried in a discussion thread like this one.

 

I dont know if you guys even tried watching a 3d movie but it only plays them in 2D format. The update is a lie to make xbox look better than playstation. Until xbox fixes there "update" you will onlu be able to play the movies not actually experience
them in 3d.

Lies thanks alot microsoft. I returned a dvd player thinking this actually allows 3d movies. It doesnt

 

Netflix has a 3D section on playstation 3 but not on Xbox one, why is that??
