3D Blurays only playback in 3d if i start the movie, then unplug and plug back in the HDMI ...

I'm having a similar issue where 3D blu rays aren't playing in 3D at all on the Xbox One... yet when I pop the 3D blu ray disk in my non-xbox player... they work perfectly. I wrote a post on this a few days ago and nothing so far as really become of it...

A) Depends on resolution of the 3D image. Luckily HDMI 1.4 supports the maximum 3D resolution of 1920x1200p60.

A) Yes. Unless Microsoft choose to block it, which would be more hassle than just allowing it. Ergo I feel pretty safe in saying that yes, the Xbox One will support 3D Bluray playback, and at the maximum resolution possible.

The Hobbit 3D also had playback issues with choppy playback. Plus when I unticked the 24hz box in the bluray app settings I lost 3D playback and it went back to 2D.

If there is anything else I can do to get the tech support guys to see this and fix it please let me know. I am really bummed I had bought the Lego Movie in 3d and its now just sitting there for no reason...

3D Bluray playback is actually limited not y the format or indeed the Bluray drivve, but by the digital connection employed. 3D images send more data than standard 2D HD images. So as I say in my comment above, you need a system with HDMI 1.4 or above to
play 3D Blurays at the current maximum resolution. Luckily the Xbox One comes with I believe a HDMI 1.4b port, which is the current best available, because everyone is faffing again about the HDMI 2.0 standards.
