    3d blu-ray playback help wanted


    ok, I've got a 2d television, and I'm looking to get captain america civil war next month, the edition I wanna get(the combo pack) has 3d blu-ray, blu-ray and digital, my question is, given I'm not sure if its two discs for 3d and 2d...will my xbox
    one be able to read the 3d disc and display it as 2d on my 2d television?

    I thought Xbox One could play 3D blu-ray....

    Popped in a 3d blu-ray for the first time and it says that the disc recognized that the player does not support 3d playback, what gives??

    The PS4 currently does not support 3D playback eitherand has no ETA when it will gain support for that. Right now he will have to keep his PS3 or buy a Blu-ray player that supports 3D if he wants to be able to playback 3D movies.

    All Blu-ray players use software for playback. It is called firmware and generally is user updateable. The Xbox One is a proper Blu-ray player that has issues at the moment. Lip sync and no 3D playback among them.
