3AM digital release for titanfall

why does the east coast have to wait till 3am? that is so bs, I was going to buy digital until I found this out.

I thought it was odd that the countdown timer on Xbox.com ended at 3AM EST even though there will be midnight releases. I just read through the information for the launch celebration again and realized that the live broadcast on Twitch will end at the same

I'm still going to buy digital, but I agree it's pretty stupid. Then again, they should have had allowed pre-loads of the game as well.

 

The Xbox headquarters are located in Seattle (west coast) so unfortunately digital buyers will have to wait until the Xbox Store updates at 3am east coast time.

 

Yeah I wish they would have let us preload it oh well, I'll still be going digital and just let it download while at work. I'm not staying up til 3am.

I'm getting my titanfall xbox one bundle soon as gamestop opens 10 AM here in virginia tommorow,so I don't have to worry about waiting for microsoft to put it on the store.Midnight release are cool but I'd rather wait till the morning especially if it's
a digital download from the west coast time which means when it's 3 AM here on the east coast,it's 12 midnight on the west coast.

 

ok that blows....guess I will have to go to gamestop and pick it up.

 

Got to agree with the need for pre-loading in today's age of digital gaming.

 

it will be 2am for me, they should at least have opened up digital pre-orders just so i don't have to stay up until 2am just to give them money.

I'm going to have to agree with you all here. This is ridiculous. I really wanted to do DD for this game in a bad way. But this is completely nuts. So basically they're telling me, "Sure we know all your friends are going to fire up the game at midnight
tonight, and you guys always start off the game together but this day you'll get to sit on the sidelines FOR HOURS as your friends are playing ONLY to THEN begin to download the game which will probably take another hour or so with everyone and their mother
downloading. But rest assured, after your friends have put in a marathon session it should finally be your turn to play, albeit after your friends have already went to bed".

 

^^ Not only that, I will not stay up til 3am waiting on the store to update then wait for it to download. Both Microsoft and Respawn are nuts..

 

Im in az, so it comes out right at midnight here. hehehe
