    360s connection issues


    Hello,

    I have a 360s that's been in storage since oct '15. it was working without fault. I purchased it for the grandkids to use when they visited and it never gave any trouble. My daughter set it up at home for me, so she knows what she is doing (I think). anyway,
    we've had to move into smaller accommodation so I gave it to my grandchildren and when their mother tried to set it up, as soon as you connect the HDMI cable or the xbox video lead the console switches from green to red. the other ends of the leads don't have
    to be (aren't) connected to the television. She rang me but I have no idea why A) this is happening. B) what to do about it and C) how to fix it.

    when she connects the cable/s to the television, the light on the console turns red and the television can't "see" the console either via AV or the HDMI link.

    any information would be greatly appreciated, plus it'd make me look less a luddite than I actually am.

    Xbox live won't connect all of a sudden.

    Hey Nick, sorry to hear about the connection issues! So, have you always had two Xbox 360s in the house, connected to LIVE? Also, what comes up when you run a LIVE connection test? What's listed under more info?

    New router, some problems.

    The Xbox 360s internal adapter doesn't do 5GHz connections.

    Having connection issues from Xbox360 as well. But where they started showing as a failure to connection Xbox Live, it's now saying the console doesn't have an internet connection. I've tested the Ethernet cable, ensured I can reach xbox.com from a laptop on the same wired connection, power cycled and even factory reset the modem. It definitely looks like a server-side issue, but very strange that the nature of the failure on the console is changing.

    Thank you for notifying me! By the way, my WiFi adapter works, but only sometimes, is there anything I should do, like possibly order a new one? Like if I leave my 360 unplugged for about a week and I boot it on the WiFi works for about four minutes and then it doesn't recognize it.
