    Hello,

    When connecting my xbox 360 to my Samsung LCD ln40a330j1d via HDMI, the lights turn on the xbox as usual, but I get a "no signal" error on my tv screen. I hear no sound, although will get responses from the xbox (like using the controller to turn it off).

    I come here to seek solutions to fix this problem, How do I get my xbox 360 to display on my tv?

    Here's what I've tried.

    -Flipping HDMI cables.

    -Using different HDMI cables.

    -Testing the TV's HDMI port by plugging in a laptop. It worked flawlessly.

    -Testing the Xbox 360's HDMI port by plugging it in to a different tv. It worked flawlessly.

    -Resetting the display settings of the TV

    -Resetting the Xbox 360's console display settings.

    -In Console settings, changing the display resolution. I have tried 1080p, 1380x760, 720p, 1080i, and 480p.

    -In Console settings, disabling display discovery.

    -In Console settings, trying Auto, RGB, YCbCr709, and YCbCr601 options.

    If this problem is unfixable, as it certainly seems to be at the moment. Does anyone know the issue? And how it could be fixed by either Samsung or Microsoft?

    4K UHD vs 5.1 sound

    Hello

    I would like play in 4K UHD with 5.1 sound on my XboxOneX.

    My TV is Samsung UE55KS7502U.

    My sound system is Samsung HT-J5550W.

    IF i SET Display&sound - Video output - Video fidelity&overscan - Overrides
    TO Auto-detect

    THEN Display&sound - Audio output - HDMI audio -
    5.1 uncompressed     NOT WORKING, just Stereo uncompressed

    BUT Display&sound - Video output - Resolution -
    4K UHD     WORKING

    IF i SET Display&sound - Video output - Video fidelity&overscan - Overrides
    TO HDMI

    THEN Display&sound - Audio output - HDMI audio -
    5.1 uncompressed     WORKING

    BUT Display&sound - Video output - Resolution -
    4K UHD     NOT WORKING, just 1080p

    Hi ReliantBear,

    From the information you gave us, it sounds like there may have been some warning signs that something was going on here. However, may I suggest that you check out the steps listed in "Xbox
    360 images on your TV are unclear    ". Also, when you say "av cord is connected" do you mean analog video dongle? The reason I ask is because it might be worth disconnecting and moving the AV cable and reconnecting the Xbox to the TV via an HDMI cable. The
    audio and video are together on the HDMI connection and this all digital path maybe able to get you up and running again if the other steps do not fix the problem.

    What is a good TV for the Xbox One?

    Have a Sony KDL40EX720 for my Xbox 360 and Xbox 1. It's fairly good at upscaling Stand Definition. And what I love about it is it has an anti-reflective full HD Display (anti-glare) which means it doesn't reflect like a mirror like some Samsung HDTV's and
    it's lighter than some Samsung 40' HDTV's. Sony and Samsung are good brands. Wouldn't trust Transonic/Soniq. And it has 4 HDMI ports many Samsung HDTV's 40' only have like 3 HDMI ports. However it's not as good in terms of brightness compared to Samsung since
    a retailer said Samsung really pushes for brightness and it suffers a bit with jaggies. It has practically no input lag tho which is good.

    I am having problems with xbox 360 S HDCP Link not found?

    When playing back DVD Video or videos from Xbox Video, the Xbox 360 wants to encrypt the picture and sound with HDCP. If it cannot properly detect that the display can handle HDCP, or if the display is an older model which does not support it, then the Xbox
    360 will show this message. I'm surprised it doesn't happen with Netflix.

    A possibility is that there is damage to the HDMI cable or connectors interrupting the Xbox 360 from communicating properly with the display, leaving them unable to share keys for HDCP encryption (this is done continuously while HDCP remains active).

    Make sure that you turn on the display first and let it fully "wake up" before starting up the Xbox 360.

    Also, if you're using the original yellow/red/white AV cable for sound rather than an audio dongle, check if leaving the AV cable unplugged and only having HDMI plugged in will resolve the issue. If it does, then you might want to route the sound out of
    your display to the sound bar rather than directly from the Xbox 360.

    What brand/model display is the Xbox 360 connected to? Also, has it worked before on that display?

    It sounds like you were experiencing an issue with your Xbox and Samsung TV where the audio would stop working when switching between games or streaming videos. You were able to resolve the issue by going to the settings on your Xbox and Samsung TV, navigating to the TV and Display options, and then enabling the "Allow YCC 4:2:2" option under the Advanced Video Modes. This resolved the issue and allowed you to play the new Dead Space remake with sound.
