360 Wired controller has home/guide button acting buggy

SInce sometime yesterday, the guide/home button on my controller (a wired Rock Candy one if it matters) has been acting up. It will constantly behave like Im pushing it, going to the...whatever the screen is that shows up when you press it, sometimes once
or twice, other times it seems like it won't stop.

Unplugging the controller with the system on and plugging it back in, turning my console off and letting it sit for a while works only for a little while, and putting the game on the pause menu for a few minutes seems to have stopped working.

It doesn't seem to be the USB port, because Ive tried all of them, and its still the same problem. Im not sure if its the system overall thats acting up, because I can't test this out with my wireless controller until I get batteries for it.

Are there any suggestions that might point me in the right direction on how to fix this?

Buttons on controller acting like guide button Xbox One.

Sometimes when I move the controller or hold the A,X, or Y button on my gampad it acts like the guide button is being pushed it if someone can help me please post.

I found the answer! On the Xbox 360, in order to pull up the invite/party/system menu, you pressed on the "Guide" button or the xbox symbol button on the controller. On the Xbox One controller, that button is reserved to return to the "Home" part of the
interface.... so, I found out that in order to bring up the 360 menu you need to press both the "View" and the "Guide" buttons simultaneously! From there, you invite or join players in the Xbox 360 virtual machine.

have you taken it apart at all? If not I do not suggest doing this you can break parts easily. but, it could be dirty you may just need a new controller
