360 will not disconnect from wireless home network.

Hi, I have searched the forum and support, so I apologize if the answer to this question is in front of my face.

I have been trying to organize and manage my home network to conserve bandwidth and keep my data usage from going over my paid limits. One problem I am having is that when I view my network map, my 360 is ALWAYS connected to the wireless. It shows connected
even when the console turned off and unplugged.

Can anyone tell me why this is or if my network device list is just giving me a false positive. I have heard the 360 will pulled up to 15 megs and I cannot afford to keep paying $10 for every 50 gigs I go over on my usage, especially if I am not even
using the thing! I have 9 devices on my network and it is the only one that shows as being connected when it is obviously disconnected.

Why do i keep disconnecting from xbox live?

My network equipments are:

A Westell (not sure if spelled right) DSL Modem and a Netgear Wireless N 300 router.

Other devices connected to my router are:

2 Desktops(wired), 2 laptops (wireless), 1 netbook(wireless), Playstation 3 (Wireless), Wii (wireless), 2 Ipod Touch's (wireless), and my xbox 360 (wires).

I know it may seem like a lot of devices on one home network, But usually there is very few of them connected to the internet at one time and i prioritized connection for my 360 on the router.

Only my 360 disconnects and causes network/internet disruption.

 

Need help signing into Xbox One at hotel where I live. Hotel has an Internet Portal but I can't......

go to settings>network>disconnect from wireless>sign in with your profile offline>connect to the wireless network>open IE

 

well if your console isnt hooked up to a power source, its obviously not using your network. My router page always lists the xbox even when its off. It usually shows a different icon to tell me that its not currently using the network.

If your console is "unplugged", I can assure you, there's no data being sent, or received, to and from your console, to and from the outside of your local network.

active portmappings.

 

Sorry, I have not returned to this post, it finally read as being disconnected. Must have had something to do with the delay in information being sent to the router settings console on the PC. Thank you.
